Its so good here, it's freakish. Its a chain, but the quality control is there because each dish is around the same variation because its from the same curry, but its so good. Katsu was crispy. We were seated quickly. The condiment pickles were crispy and cut through the dish nicely. The curry itself is thick and creamy with a robust curry flavor. The staff were nice and attentive. Paper straws are a nice touch. It tastes better on the spicer side but to each their own.

First off Jill! She was very nice and helped me figure out what to get and heat level etc. I got the Katsu cuz I love Katsu and the ONLY Curry I have ever had was Thai. I am a lover of Thai food but much more a lover of Japanese food so I was IN. I must admit being a first timer regular heat was appropriate as she suggested and it was lovely. I love the fact that the veggies are firm, cooked expertly and firm not mushy. Loved that. I can't wait to dine in as this order was to go. I can't believe that it's been there as long as it has and today was my first day but it will NOT be my last. See you soon! Arigato Gozaimasu

Just like their other locations they don't miss. Great curry and always great customer service. I've started to add more to my curry dishes and I love that you're able to customize your curry to your liking.

First time here and I got the chicken cutlet with egg spicy level 4 and it was super good. The cutlet was crispy and tender. The egg was a good balance with the spice level. Also got their fries and the curry on top was such a good combo! We got seated relatively fast after being put on the waitlist. Service was good and attentive. Would definitely come again when I'm craving some Japanese curry

Dang I'm liking this place more and more the more I come here! The concept is a little weird to me- take the most tasteless of meats- chicken breasts, coat them and deep fry them for flavor... like why? Then if that wasn't bad enough, add a whole 'nother protein in the form of an omelette - as if I can't make that at home? Now pour a brown gravy over it where I can add vegetables of my choice, corn, cheese AND cream each for a nominal fee? And this is a Thing in Japan??!! Well lemme tell ya this place is yummier every time. I dialed down the spicy level to 1/10 (no I am not a wimp, this spice is serious!). I ordered the bodybuilder duo of chicken and omeletteadded cheese and corn and took it to new heights... Also - who else in town is selling Thai ice tea for 2 bucks?! Too many reasons I can't say no to COCOS!

My boyfriend and I come here often and never leave disappointed! You can pretty much customize your order to your liking by adjusting spice level, rice size, and adding different proteins and toppings. I always order the regular chicken cutlet with regular spicy level. My boyfriend ordered the keema curry with chicken cutlet. You can never go wrong with either choice! The keema already comes a little spicy so just be careful if you are adding more spice to it. There is always a wait but I feel like it goes by pretty fast. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the area!

Visited this location on a Sunday afternoon, right around noon and we were seated immediately! Which was a first for me, as I always come in the evenings, we even had a choice between bar or table. The service was quick and the menus are conveniently a QR code so we don't have to wait for someone to give us a menu. There is also a button on the table that calls someone over whenever you're ready to order, so the order process is quite easy. Ordered the breaded pork cutlet plate with an extra side of the curry sauce along with the XL sized Thai tea. I am pretty spice tolerant but the level 5 spice on the curry really made me rethink that statement. It was still delicious and I ate all of it but I was thankful for my giant drink to help with the spicy. I think next time a level 4 would be exactly the right level of spice for me. My pork cutlet must have also been freshly made right before served to me because it was quite hot and I had to wait a while for it to cool down, but definitely not mad at my food being cooked to order!

I tried CoCo Ichibanya in Irvine and it's one of my favorite places to eat. I was in the area for errands so I wanted to try the Torrance location. CoCo Ichibanya is located in a plaza so I had plenty of parking. Once I entered I was immediately greeted and seated by the host. I came before the dinner rush so I was able to get a table instead of sitting at the "bar." I ordered a small, regular spice Chicken Cutlet Omelette with cheese. It's the only thing I've eaten at CoCo Ichibanya because it's SO GOOD. I have no reason to try the other curries because I'm extremely satisfied with this one. The only thing I would change is how loud the music was. I'm not sure if I was seated underneath the speakers but the music was blasting in my ears. Otherwise the food was great, the staff was friendly, and the dish was a reasonable price ($21 without tip).
